Make Faith part of your Summer Plans
Today, Vacation Bible School is a popular summer activity for Christians and non-Christians alike. Churches generally run Vacation Bible School for a week, and each program has its own theme (medieval castles, water parks, the Old West, etc.) that children can explore. A week of VBS usually includes games, snacks, crafts, skits, and, of course, Bible lessons. There is always a connection between God and the theme, allowing kids to discover God in a creative way. Many Christian publishing companies offer curricula to guide churches in setting up and running a VBS program, but some churches choose to write their own curricula.
Saint Francis Xavier Parish to host Scuba VBS
Looking for oceans of fun this summer? With the theme of diving into friendship with God, a vacation bible school – Scuba VBS – will be held this July 8-11 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 8880 Main St., McKean. Children entering Pre-K to 5th grade are invited to an amazing undersea adventure to experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God.

Our Lady of Mercy VBS
All lords and ladies, maidens and pages and all guardians of God’s kingdom are invited to put on a helmet of holiness and take up a shield of salvation to be part of this great summer event. Vacation Bible School (VBS) will be held the week of July 29 to August 2 from 9 am to noon at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 837 Bartlett Rd., Harborcreek. VBS is open to children who are four years old to those in sixth grade.
Adult and teen volunteers are also needed to make VBS a success. Volunteers can help with story time or crafting, can be group leaders or help make game time fun. Any amount of volunteer time is appreciated. Clearances are required for all volunteers. Our Lady of Peace VBS
We are once again excited to be offering Vacation Bible School that will be taking place at Our Lady of Peace Church from July 29-August 2, 2024. Students entering Kindergarten through 5th grade in the fall are invited to attend.
Camp will run from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM each day. On Friday we will end camp with 12:10 Mass.
Families are encouraged to attend Mass with us.
The cost is $20.00 per child or $25.00 per family and includes snack each day, and supplies. Please complete one registration form per student. Forms can be found at: olp.org under the Faith Formation tab. The deadline to register is July 22nd, 2024. Make check payable to “OLP”. Forms can be dropped off at the church office or mailed to:

Saint George VBS
Come and join other children kindergarten through 4th grade for the great jungle Journey! An epic cruise from genesis to revelation!
Monday through Friday, Friday, July 15th-19th, 9am to 11:30 am. A snack & drink will be provided daily. More information will be sent via email once location details are set.

CONFIRMATION
We celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation each year with our bishop. We are inviting young people in grades 9-11 to consider getting confirmed.
MATRIMONY

FIRST EUCHARIST
Children in third grade are usually prepared for First Holy Communion. Any child in third grade or older requesting first communion can be added to our preparation classes.
